<hi style=afpcap>The basic O-2 design was modified to the O-25 with a Curtiss Conqueror engine fitted, and later still the O-29. The last of the line was the O-38 with 46 aircraft ordered, which were similar to the O-29/0-32 but with the a 525 h.p. Pratt and Whitney Hornet engine. One was converted to O-38A standard and was followed by 63 O-38Bs. A single O-38C was purchased by teh Army on behalf of the Coast Guard. Furthe refinements produced the O-38D, E and F models, before the design was refined as the O-43, O-46 and O-47.</hi>
